It is not unusual for anxiety to rise just before an appointment you know may help.
That spike does not necessarily mean you should cancel. Often it reflects anticipation, uncertainty, or the fear of saying too much or too little.
A few practical responses may help:
- plan to arrive a little earlier rather than rushing
- keep the day as light as possible beforehand
- remind yourself that you do not need to explain everything at once
- focus on getting there, not performing well once you do
